On 08th September 2025, Our Shared World is delighted to welcome award winning climate comedian Stuart Goldsmith for a Learning Lunch like no other! Thank you Stuart for generously sharing your time with us!

Stuart is an award winning comedian who uses his comedy to explore the most serious of subjects – the climate and sustainability crisis. His stand up show ‘Spoilers’ was among the best reviewed shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival 2023 and his climate comedy has taken him from Live at the Apollo to Earth Day events around the world and to the Netflix Is A Joke Festival in LA, where he hosted a climate themed gig. As host of the Comedian’s Comedian podcast and a lifelong performer, Stuart’s expertise is using humour to open up conversations and action on climate.

For this session, tailored especially for Our Shared World, Stuart turns his attention to education. Climate challenges are increasingly familiar territory for teachers and pupils alike. Stuart’s approach offers something different: a way to name the hard truths of the climate crisis, laugh at our own hypocrisies and habits and come away feeling energised. It is comedy, with a serious point, that sends out a clear call to action.

What is a Learning Lunch?

Each month, a Learning Lunch is held where OSW members, friends and organisations can connect, share their work and engage in discussion and debate around the themes introduced.

Bite sized, participatory and supportive, the Lunches welcome a very broad range of speakers, engaging in all types of education and changemaking. They aim to celebrate, connect and amplify the cutting edge work being done to foster a more just, equitable, peaceful and sustainable world.

Our OSW members have a powerful breadth of expertise and experience to contribute to SDG 4.7 – NOW is our opportunity to share it.
